Around the sixth month of life, it is common for the lower gum of your little break and start to sprout the tip of a tooth. But whether it has done weeks ago if it takes a few months to occur, do not worry. The variability is very large eruption.
Discard diseases
Only when the output of the first tooth is extended to 15 months, should be cause for medical consultation. This delay is called teething late and, although rare, is often the manifestation of a symptom of a disease. That is, there are conditions such as hypothyroidism, hypopituitarism or hypovitaminosis D who attend, among other problems, with a delayed tooth eruption. But generally, these children are often diagnosed as, for example, hypothyroidism is accompanied by obesity, short stature, swelling, psychomotor retardation … and hypovitaminosis D appears with other signs of bone and kidney.
