Differences between identical and fraternal twins
The number of identical and fraternal twins born today is increasing due to assisted reproduction techniques. Both twins like the twins have many similarities, but also have some differences. To have more knowledge I’ll tell you some differences between identical and fraternal twins:
The twins are conceived in 2 different eggs and sperm, however twins are conceived in the same egg and sperm and then splits in two. The twins grow inside the womb on different placentas and bags for life, while the twins may or may not have bags for life and share the same placenta.
A point to note is that with twins, sharing the same sac, they are more likely to have problems with the cord. It’s something that should not be alarmed, but pay more attention to certain symptoms. The twins after the birth, are similar as any brother or sister, but the twins have the characteristic look much closer together, in some cases the similarity is such that they can pass each other.
Regarding development, there are also differences between identical and fraternal twins, since twins have very similar development, and instead the twins often have very large differences in time of development of each child. These differences are usually very deep from the medical point of view, instead it is likely that the notes did not realize at first glance if two brothers are twins.
